STUDENT LEARNING

Escape Rooms allow for different types of student engagement and student leadership that you wouldn't normally see in the classroom. Escape rooms require team work, communication and delegation as well as critical thinking, attention to detail and lateral thinking. They are accessible to a wide range of players and so they do not favor any gender. In fact, the most successful teams are those made up of players with a variety of experiences, backgrounds and abilities.

Our escape rooms are designed and built in house and as such are designed to satisfy various cross curricular objectives (including math and science) depending on the grade level and age group of the students. Escape Room are a real life application of the mathematical process, as well as using concepts such as basic geography, language, and history.

Games offer students the opportunity to be their best possible selves.

Escape games use mechanics that create an environment that allows students to use their collaborative learning in a simulated real life setting. It also allows for this collaboration to foster collective intelligence which strongly allows for the shift of knowledge and power from the individual to the collective.

It is important to also recognize the social benefits for students in an escape room. Escape games are powerful team bonding and team building activities. They will help students become a more cohesive group and create positive memories that will bond them together.

Breakout offers experiences for students and staff of any age and grade level. We are able to host student groups at Breakout in our existing games, which are age appropriate, from grades 6 and up.  We are also able to host your school staff for a team building activity.

Breakout Escape Rooms is a proud supporter of Saskatoon Public Schools as well as all the schools in the province. Please contact us directly to discuss your options for booking an escape game for your group and rates for school groups of 15 or more students.
